Can a company terminate a pregnant employee in Malaysia?

As an HR representative, may I know if it is legal for our management to terminate the employment of this woman who has already worked for the company for 2 years, solely due to her pregnancy?

Employers cannot issue termination notices to pregnant female employees or those experiencing pregnancy-related illness, as per Section 41A(1) of the Employment Act 1955. However, exceptions may apply in cases of misconduct or business closure.
